Getting from Orlando to Port Canaveral
Most Port Canaveral cruisers fly into Orlando International (MCO), about 45 miles and 45 minutes to an hour away on the SR 528 toll road. Shared shuttles from MCO cost about $28 to $30 per person each way.
Every option has a flight cut-off. Go Port won't take MCO flights that land after noon, so plan to fly in the day before if you can.

Good to know
- Since October 1, 2025, shuttles and rideshares may not drop passengers at the terminal before their cruise line's boarding time, and stops are limited to 15 minutes. Arriving early doesn't help.
- The drive from Orlando uses SR 528, the Beachline, a toll road. Pay with a transponder like SunPass; toll-by-plate costs more.
- Brightline trains don't reach Port Canaveral. A Cocoa station is planned for around 2028 to 2030, but it would still be 10 to 15 miles from the terminals.
- Carnival says not to book a flight home from MCO before about 1 p.m. Go Port's return shuttles leave the port from early morning.
