Things to do in Cape Canaveral

Port Canaveral, an hour east of Orlando, was the world's busiest cruise port in fiscal 2025, with more than 8.6 million passenger movements. Its six working terminals sit on two sides of the harbor, reached from different exits of SR 528, so knowing your terminal matters before you set out.

2027 brings Carnival Festivale, MSC World Atlantic, Disney Destiny, Norwegian Aqua and Star Princess, while Carnival Venezia and MSC Seashore move to Miami. A new 13-story garage next to Terminal 6 is opening, and Terminals 5 and 10 are being expanded.

Arrival tips

  • Know your side of the port. Terminals 5, 6, 8 and 10 are on the North Side (SR 528 Exit 54A); Terminals 1 and 3 are on the South Side (Exit 54B).
  • Port parking opens at 10 a.m. on sailing day and costs $20 per day plus tax, counting both your arrival and return days. Card only, and no reservations.
  • Since October 2025, shuttles and rideshares can't drop you off before your boarding time, so arrive at your assigned time.
  • Weekends are busiest: on about 30 dates this winter, all six terminals have a ship in port at once.
