About Embark Day
Embark Day covers the part of a cruise nobody advertises: getting to the ship. Where to park, what it costs, which hotels will drive you to the pier, and how to get from the airport to the terminal on time.
We are an independent site. We are not affiliated with any port authority or cruise line.
About the flags
On celebration days, ships "dress overall": they string international maritime signal flags from bow to stern. Embarkation day is that kind of day, so we fly them too. The line of flags across the top of every page spells EMBARK DAY in the signal code, and our logo is the E flag (blue over red) beside the D flag (yellow, blue, yellow).
