Things to do in Fort Lauderdale

Port Everglades, in Fort Lauderdale, handled 4.77 million cruise passengers in fiscal 2025, making it the third-busiest cruise homeport in the world. Its eight terminals sit just east of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood airport, which is under 2 miles away.

Every entrance to the port has a security checkpoint, so everyone 18 or older in your car needs photo ID. Legend of the Seas, the largest ship ever to sail from the port, starts on November 8, 2026, and Disney Believe arrives in December 2027.
