Galveston cruise parking: every lot and what it costs
Galveston has two kinds of cruise parking: the port's own lots next to the terminals, and private lots a few blocks away. For a 7-night sailing in November 2026, port lots cost $179 to $240. Private lots ran $125 to $205, and the cheapest of them are still a short walk from the pier.
Pick your terminal below to see only the lots that serve it. Prices are what each lot quoted us for real November 2026 sailings, with fees included wherever the checkout showed them.

Watch for checkout fees
Galveston charges a $1.15 per day city fee on long-term parking, and many private lots add sales tax plus a service or "port access" fee at checkout. Discount Cruise Parking's advertised $129.99 came to $169.34 at checkout for a 7-night sailing. Our list marks which prices include fees. Compare totals, not headline rates.
Port lot or private lot?
The port's lots are the simplest choice. They sit on port property, are patrolled around the clock by Port of Galveston Police, and the closest ones are a short walk from the terminal. You pay for that: Economy Lot B, the port's cheapest for Carnival, was $179.21 for 7 nights.
Private lots save $35 to $55 on the same sailing. Two of the cheapest don't need a shuttle at all: Lighthouse Park n Walk ($125) is across the street from Terminal 28, and Park 2 Cruise ($129) is a short walk from Terminals 10 and 16.
Drop your bags before you park
Whichever lot you choose, drive to your terminal first and hand checked bags to the porters at the curb. Then park. It saves hauling suitcases onto a shuttle, and the port recommends it.
Book early for weekend sailings
Several lots were already sold out for the November 2026 dates we checked, including the port's North Premium Lot and Lighthouse's covered lot. Port reservations open about 18 months ahead and can be cancelled for free up to 24 hours before you sail.
Common questions
How much is parking at the Galveston cruise port?
For a 7-night cruise in November 2026, the port's own lots cost $179.21 to $239.83, depending on how close you park. Private lots nearby cost $125 to $205.
What is the cheapest cruise parking in Galveston?
The cheapest lots with shuttles or a short walk were Lighthouse Park n Walk ($125 for 7 nights) and Park 2 Cruise ($129). Hotel lots on the Seawall are cheaper still, at $9 to $12 per day, but you need a rideshare to the terminal.
Do I need to reserve cruise parking in Galveston?
It is strongly recommended. The port accepts drive-ups only if space is left, and popular lots sell out on busy sailing days. Port reservations can be cancelled for free up to 24 hours before departure.
Can I pay cash for parking at the Port of Galveston?
No. Port lots take credit cards only: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
Where do I park an RV for a Galveston cruise?
The port allows RVs in its economy lots, but you may need to buy two spaces. Email parking@portofgalveston.com before you go. The port garages have a 6 ft 8 in clearance, and several private lots refuse oversized vehicles.
